WOW 5 MONTHS

5 MONTHS, REALLY

So, where do we start. I guess we will go in a time line. As you know, Heather started her full time nursing program. She had been going for the last few years but only taking one class here and one class there. But in January, she decided it was time to start full time and actually have an end date. She is expected to be finished in December of next year.
With Heather starting back in January, guess who became Mr. Mom around here.. Yep, Me... Cooking, Cleaning, Laundry, carpooling, etc.. But you know what, IT REALLY SUCKS... But I have gotten pretty good at most of it.
The picture above is when I was able to take a small break from all my house duties and go to the Baylor/Duke Elite 8 Game in March. A basketball game with 70,000 people is absolutely crazy. Thanks Mike for the invite..
Baseball..... My Favorite...... In March we started Baseball season again. Although it seems like Baseball just ended, (because it really did for us because of the Fall season) it was a welcomed time around our house. Keagan is now playing machine pitch baseball. He is playing on a 7 & 8 year old team, but our team is pretty much loaded with all 7 year olds. We did not know what to expect at the start of the year, but after the 1st game, we knew what we were in for. Those little men surprised the heck out of us. They won their first 3 games and got beat by the team that last year made it to the state tourneyment... A team full of 8 year olds... We are now midway through the season and are doing pretty good.. Keagan is the one in the middle with the bat bag as big as he is. You will also notice little brother to the right. Our BB Player in waiting..
Keagan's 7th Birthday. I am still amazed that he has made it to 7 without me killing him. No seriously, he is a great kid. Loves sports, loves his friends and really loves hanging out with me.
Kason..... Well what can I say about my little love bug.. This kid is great. Kason has really grown up over the last few months. He has been a real trooper. Tagging along to all his brothers basketball and baseball games. But to be quite honest with you, I think he thinks he is on his brother's team. He had his own basketball uniform and ran out of the tunnel with Keagan's team every single basketball game. For baseball, he has the same jersey as the team and wheres his baseball pants, socks, hat and cleats every game. He plays catch before the game and runs the bases after each game. So, he is not really worried to much about tagging along to all his big brother's events. Hopefully this fall, he will begin his very on sporting adventure. He plans on playing soccer. So we will see how Keagan feels about being "Tagged Around" to all his little brothers sporting events. He is a picture Heather took of he and I one night. Love this kid so much.Kason's early birthday party at Gram and Pop's. They are leaving on a cruise to Alaska this week and wanted to celebrate his birthday before they left so we had a small birthday party at their house on Saturday night. He will have his big b-day party this weekend.
Now for the best part, Kensely... Just kidding, please don't tell my boys this. Kensely is now 9 months old and has totally captured her dad's heart. She has gotten so big and finally started eating real baby food. Yes, I did say that. She just had no interest at all of eating baby food. She was perfectly content with having all her meals with mom.. But for about a month and half now, she has been eating. She is still not interested in crawling or walking. She is ok with Mom, Dad and Keagan to carry her everywhere. But I guess that what you get when you are the little queen of the house.. Here is a picture of us at Kason's birthday party this weekend, along with a few other pictures I think you will enjoy. Not sure who likes buying her clothes and bows, Heather or her mom. But this little one already needs 3 closets.
So, I guess this is all for now. I hope you enjoyed the time travel. We are really proud of all our kids and our mommy. We are truly living a dream here in Central Texas. God Bless..

Well here I am everybody!!! I survived, or I guess I should say WE survived my first week back to school. It was sure nice having last semester off after having Kensley but I is time I be a big girl and start hacking away at this again before my brain becomes mush again!! WOW what a schedule I have and WHEW all the studying. I can do it though I have so much support and so many people that believe in me!! I am so blessed by you all who have/are praying for me and encouraging me every step of the way!!!
Last weekend before the craziness of school started Jason, Kensley, and I made a quick get away to San Antonio for a few nights. A big thank you to Pop and Gram for watching the boys so we could have this time together. They would have kept Kensley but Mommy just isn't ready to leave her just yet;) Jason and I enjoyed the time together and also the visit from Jason's brother and family. It was a cold weekend but we bundled up and enjoyed it!!

Jason getting one of those crazy mall massages
Kensley sleeping while we shop
Just a cute picture of Kensley I had to add:)

So sweet
(Poor Keagan, no pics of him, I'll have to include him in the next post)

I am savoring every moment with my kiddos and husband this week. School for me will start Monday and I'm not sure what all that will entail but I am guessing studying every free moment I get so I'm giving my babies extra loving this week and enjoying every second with them. I'm posting some pictures of Kensley's first bout with 'real' food. She did great with the cereal and even took a bottle for me today which is a feat in itself since we've been trying for a month to get her to take one. Yay, Kensley you are such a big girl and we all love you so very much!!!

The audience. Uncle Kevin was even here to see this first:) I love Keagan's face.

Kensley had barely gotten her last bite finished when Keagan showed up with a wet wash rag to clean her up. He did not like her being messy at all.

Ok seriously, has it really been almost 3 months since I last updated!!?? Time is flying by and needless to say, I won't catch you up on everything that's been going on but just try to hit the highlights. No joke, we've had Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas since my last post!! How do I even begin........guess I'll just start at Christmas and move forward and try to do better in the future!!
This year we stayed in town for Christmas. Normally we travel to see my parents and family and Jason's family then hit my inlaws that do live here. This year with 3 kids we decided to enjoy the holiday and not rush through it in 48 hours, with 4 places to open gifts this can get crazy when we try to cram all the places in, in such a short amount of time. It was nice being here, hanging out and letting the kids enjoy their new toys without having to rush out of the house immediately after opening thier gifts. We did Christmas for several weeks though, because 2 sets of grandparents came down to do Christmas early with us since we weren't going to be traveling. I wouldn't want to do it every year this way but it was nice.
I've enjoyed the boys being home from school and will be sad and happy when school starts back. It's hard to keep them as busy as they need to be with a 4 month old in the house. It seems like our schedule revolves around her(not a bad thing). Just if Ms. K is crying I can't finish a game or book with the boys and it just makes it a little tough. Also, one week after the boys start school I will once more be returning to nursing school. I am excited to actually be in a program and to know that this could be the beginning of the end of this whole school thing is very exciting and yet knowing that I won't be at home with Kensley is so sad for me. Knowing that she will be with family 3 of the 4 days of the week that I am school does help me feel better about being gone. I hope to stay on track here on out and graduate just a few months after Kensley turns 2. I need to get this done while the kids are young and while I still have motivation. After taking this past semester off I quickly realized that if I stayed out much longer that I could quickly loose interest. I've worked so hard to get in to a program I just can't let it all go to waste. Sooooo......whenever I come to mind, please say a little prayer for me. It will be a tough, long road but I know that with prayer and God by my side I can do this!!! It will be an adjustment for us all since up to now I've only been going part time. The 4 day a week 8-4 will be tough. I'll miss my babies!!!! That's all for now. Enjoy the photos!

Dressing a little girl is so much fun!

Little stinker was in a sitting position for half a second until she started arching her back and easing her way down to look like this. Funny girl!

Game time at Pop and Gram's

Testing out the bow

My little musical child. Loves instruments and singing!! Says he's going to play the drums in the band and play football...."cause football pwayers can do bowf"!

Please, never leave packaging peanuts unattended in my house!! This mess only took 1 1/2 hours to clean up!! I'm glad they were only alone with them for 10 minutes instead of 30!! BOYS!

Lovin' on her new baby doll

My sweet babies I love more than words can tell!!

This past Monday morning something very exciting happened around here. Kason's doctor removed the cast for good!!! Yippee, I believe I may have been more excited than even Kason was. So after 7 weeks and some pretty stinky casts(plural because he had 3 total in that time perioud) he is CAST FREE!! Bath time is so much more fun now:)

Ok so things are in full swing around here with 3 kiddos in the house. The boys started school 2 days after Kensley and I got home from the hospital. I'm a little late in posting their first day of school pictures but at least they are getting posted:) Kason started school at a private Christian school where Keagan attended for 3 years. He absolutely LOVES it!! Of course, he thinks he is such a big boy getting to go to his new school just like his hero his big brother did! He has already learned SO much and loves coming home and telling me all about his day, something Keagan wouldn't ever do too much but Kason will tell me every detail, I love it!! He has already studied letters H,Y, & S but the other day out of the blue he told me "Mom, I know what Zebra starts with, it starts with Z and so does zero and a little later on he said I know potty starts with P!!" I was amazed!!! I think I have the smartest 3 y/o ever!!=D He also knows and recognizes numbers 1-10 and about 15 letters of the alphabet!!

Now for Keagan. That boy is growing up so fast. I don't know if it seems like that lately because he's started 1st grade or what but he just seems so big lately. I can't believe he is getting so big and grown up. He started public school this year which was SO hard for me to do but with private schools around here costing so much money we really didn't have a choice. He has done pretty good with the change and has met a few friends and has several church friends that attend there but still tells us he wants to go back to the other school next year. He really doesn't do too great with change but he did attend the other school for 3 years so he knew many kids and teachers which of course would make him feel much more comfortable there. He is absolutely whizzing through all of his home work and sight words and I believe he was a little ahead of the game starting off this year. He is very smart, is great at reading, and loves doing math problems! Only problem he has is talking at inappropriate times but I suppose that's to be expected at some point with any child. I love these boys so much and am so proud of them!!

Keagan looks so nervous and scared in this picture!
He did tell me that morning that his stomach hurt because he was nervous.

Keagan and Kason both are doing great with their new little sister. The love her to pieces, seriously!!! Kason will kiss her as much as possible then go about his business playing but when Keagan gets home from school it's all about Kensley!! He immediately washes his hands, changes his shirt then runs to the couch and says, "ok mom I'm ready to hold her" and he will do so until she gets heavy or starts crying. I still can't talk either one of them into changing her diapers yet:)

Kensley is doing great. The doctor had me start feeding her every 2 hours because she wasn't gaining weight but after only 3 days of doing that she started packing on the weight and had already gained 8 oz from just those few days. She'll get weighed again on Monday but I think she's doing fine. She is starting to have more awake time and show us her big pretty eyes and I just noticed yesterday that she's trying to hold her head up and look around on her own much more. Man, they change so quick!! Night times aren't great she'll go anywhere from 2 1/2 - 4 hours between feedings but nothing consistent at all. I'd be satisfied for a while if she could do the 4 hours every night but it's different every night. She's terrific to have around though and is so much fun to dress every day. There are not many days that go by that she doesn't have a bow in her hair:)
