Keagan's good friend Liam turned 5 y/o so we went to his birthday party on Saturday. They did the funnest craft project where all the kids painted their own canvas to take home. So much fun!! Happy Birthday, Liam!!!!
Also this week Keagan started soccer. After the first practice I asked him what he thought, here is his response.
Mom: What did you think, Keagan, did you like soccer??
Keagan: Is that what real soccer is like?
Mom: Yes, only sometimes you get to play other teams in a game.
Keagan: Oh, well it was kind of long!
Mom's thoughts: this is going to be a LONG season:)

This is how our conversation went today.
Mom: Keagan are you ready for practice tonight??
Keagan: No, I think I'll try playing baseball first, then maybe soccer
Mom's thoughts: Wish I hadn't just paid $50 for him to play soccer!!!

Anyway, hopefully things will turn around and he'll be ok with it. Funny thing is that I gave him the option. Baseball(because I know he loves it) or soccer(he's never shown much interest at home). He continually has said soccer, maybe it's because all of his friends play and he hears them talking about it. Maybe I shouldn't have given him the option and just signed him up for baseball. He always plays baseball at home and does great at it. Anyway, maybe soccer will appeal to him a little bit more as he plays it more. Enjoy the picts!!

In other news, I am about to wrap up my online class!!! Just a final to take and I should be able to pull and A, thank goodness!! I will continue to trudge through Anatomy and Physiology II. Wendi, I may be calling you soon for help:) I would really like an A in there as well but would be ecstatic with a B!!! I'm really looking forward to Spring Break though!!:) Jason has been sick this week and not feeling well at all so he'll be going to the doc this afternoon and hopefully get some good meds to help him get better soon, Grandma and D-dad are planning on coming to visit but not if everybody is sick. Have a great weekend everybody!!!

Happy Valentine's Day Everybody!!!!

Thought I would post some pictures that I have taken lately. One is a video of Keagan. He's been able to ride his bicycle without any training wheels for a while now but we always had to give him a boost. We'll he finally figured out how to start off by himself and actually rode around the block today all by himself!!!!! I was nervous about that but he insisted and did fine!!!!
Kason well he has been accident prone lately. We had a good week so far but last week after the coin incident he pulled Keagan's entire dresser over on him!!!! Ugh!! I was much more upset than he was and praise God he was ok. I cried more than he did although it did scare him!!! Enjoy the pictures and have a great rest of the week!!!!!

Keagan's Valentine's Day Party

What is this a picture of you ask. Well on the left is some foreign currency we have around the house the penny on the right is just to help you see the size of the foreign money. Kason decided to eat it last night and came into the living room gagging. We had no clue what he was gagging on, He wouldn't stop gagging. We started beating on his back and nothing, then he started throwing up with the gagging, ok at this point I was getting really worried. We were about to call 911 when he finally threw up this coin.......whew thank goodness. We are keeping an eye out for small things in the floor. I thought he was past the age of putting stuff like that in his mouth but I guess not. Thank goodness he was okay!!!

Well things are well around here. I am trying to do better about keeping this updated a little more often even though school is in full swing. I am only taking 2 classes and 1 on of them is an online course so right now my plate doesn't seem as full as last semester, thank goodness!!!
I am posting a picture tonight of the boys sleeping. Kason has been sleeping in Keagan's bed this week. He's only been in there a couple of nights but they both seem to like the arrangement ok. Kason did wake up one night screaming. So, I ran in to see what was wrong and he had totally turned himself around, his head was stuck under the comforter and he couldn't figure out how to get out. Once I turned him around and gave him his blankie he was sound asleep again. Isn't the picture just too sweet!!??

This weekend we had my mom's family minus only two people down for lunch and games on Saturday. When I was younger we would always see aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents on my mom's side either on Thanksgiving or Christmas. Well, since the family has grown so much and most of us cousins have our own families and in laws and parents to go see it's been awhile since we were all together. We've decided not to try the holidays together anymore but to try a weekend some other time during the year so we all can still get together and keep up with each other. This was the first year and it was great!!!!! There are 8 of us cousins and only 2 were not able to come and all 4 of my grandfather's children and their spouses were here. A little not about Grandpa, my grandmother died when I was 13, Grandpa and Margaret have dated for a number of years probably 10 years or so. So, Margaret is like part of the family. She goes everywhere he does and vice versa. They even live in apartments right next to each other on the 2nd floor of their building. They both will be 89 and 90 in a few months!!! They still climb the stairs to their apartment and are in great shape for their age. So, when you see their pictures below you'll know their story. Anyway,it was a great weekend filled with family.

What have we been up to, well........here are a few things that have been going on lately. Last weekend my good friend Amanda came down to visit. She lives a couple of hours from here but with both of our busy schedules we don't get to see each other as often as we'd like. It was SO nice to have her here for a night to hang out with and chat with and get caught up on life. We have been friends for 16 years!!!! What a sweet friend!!! Thank you so much for coming to visit Amanda!!!!!!

Don't you just love surprises?? Well the other night my in laws came over to take the boys out to eat to give Jason and I some peace and quiet for a while. But, when they came in they brought a surprise for me that my mother in law, Elaine, had bought for me. I've been painting the house to get some darker, warmer colors around here and so she bought me an awsome wall hanging that I just love. I've seen it before at my favorite store in Salado but never would break down and buy it. What an awsome surprise....here's a picture for you to see. Thank you so much Elaine, we love it!!!!!
